NTM Part 2 - GAMES

Angela, together with Susan and Cindy are the i/cs for games (VBS, SS & in the Village). They have prepared a number. Here's pics of the "passing softball with only the neck" game. Robert organised his children to same gender groupings so that everyone wouldnt be too shy to pass around.

But I think the most tedious game Angela prepared would be the Snake and Ladder thingy which took her 1.5 days to complete. This was supposed to be a game for VBS quiz, answer a correct question and move your piece kind of stuff. It takes away the dull momentum and inject some fun with snake and ladder thrills. Due to some miscommunication between Angela and myself, she did a mega size game on 7 mahjong papers!!!! (i told her to make with one piece coz my intention was to stick on the wall and move some game pieces on it, like magnet or what)

HAHA....initially we were wondering what to do with this big piece after NTM. Wanted to bring back for CtYF to play during their YF camp. But i guess it all changed when we saw CHOL kids playing. We took it out for them to play before last day of VBS quiz and they really enjoyed so much, jumping around. And so, the big game sheet got to stay put in CHOL - never to return to Singapore. Here's a pic of it, if you can see properly......

Btw, BK & myself used felt material to make the dice for them. Can u see it at this pic here - the yellow square thingy on the floor with numbers on each side? i remembered my 3D drawing learned in school and put to use here. I think i made a slight mistake in the flap but guess it was well covered up. Both of us had a hard time sticking the felt together with white glue. We needed my hairdryer to work magic.

What other games? Hmmmm, passing the peanuts with a spoon in the mouth.

The mini relay on day 3 of VBS was very exciting. It consisted of 3 stations of things to do for each individual. First u need to walk with a book on your head to the 1st station of sweets in a plate of flour. Pick one up and do 5 rounds round a chair. Thereafter pick up a marble with a pair of chopsticks. Robert has already singled out those who couldnt use chopsticks and allowed them to use spoon to scoop out. The flour was the most messy, the 5-rounds chair most giddy and displacing and the chopsticks most challenging. A lot of patience and skill are involved to pick up a marble. Try it at home if you dont trust me. Anyhow, here are some pics and hope can capture the fun in it:

Sunday School had a game to play too and this we did at the backyard, hoping and praying we could attract the attention of neighbourhood children to come to SS. The game was something like basketball except that the net was the photocopy paper box strapped to the back of an individual. The opposing team would try to throw in as many balls as possible. The individual with the box could move the body, thus rendering it difficult for the group to throw and gain points.
