With 2 weeks to go, decided to redo the audio file all over again. Thank God Daniel (fr Pandan) gave me all the raw files in a CD of which i did not lose and so painstakingly, i put in one wave file after another in the right sequence (all in Thai, mind you) into Garageband. It was crazy.....narration has 35 files, jia jia has close to 30, mother, father and pei pei sister...... Also used some of the music in the original chinese CD and mixed it up and voila......a finished product at 3.30am. Burned the file into audio CD and so finally, a big burden rolled off my shoulder......thank You, Lord.
Slept at 4am only to be woken up by Eric (my clinic manager) telling me the IT guy William's mom was unconscious and waiting for Dr lowly to respond to his call to do an emergency housecall. Then Eric mentioned he advised him not to wait and quickly send his mom to hospital via ambulance. My side of the conversation was: Hi, Oh, Yes, OK, Thanks, Bye..... and i went back to sleep...zzzz... Oops, i did one more thing, tapped lowly on his shoulder and repeated Eric's info in one sentence and i tried to zzzz....... (dont ask me what sentence.....didnt think i sound gibberish).
8.30am.....isaac called and asked me to send him to bus stop......decided to get up coz it was about time for me to prepare for the NTM meeting too.
Thank God the puppet show practice was a profitable time and the team members are very responsive and cooperative.... except for the fact they speak Hokkien all the time and wow, i surprised myself with one word or sentence now and then. BK even commented i have improved.
Shared during CtYF prayer meeting about my eye thingy and NTM prep and right hand pain. With Jamesy leading the crappy crazy bunch, they actually said it was soooooo cool if i have a disease named after me (since the doc has not seen anything in his 20 years of practice to what he saw in my eye). What were the names? Smellenitis (tks, Shing), Phalanitis (whatever was that, JJ?), and what else i didnt hear? Oh man, they turned my anguish to rejoicing! Haha.... nah, i am not in anguish nor sorrow nor any foul emotion. I am safe in the arms of Jesus and nothing can move me for what is to come. Honestly, come what may because with Christ, i can smile at any storm.
Take for instance my right hand. It was improving and perhaps i had overused it or there was a flare of inflammation (since i had fever on sun), i was in intense pain from Sun night. it was just too painful to fall asleep and to use in the day. As the pain yoyoed past few days, i was in doubt that i would ever be able to play piano to record the songs to teach the adults for NTM or even tomorrow's special item by Eld Boon. Committed to God and friends & family prayed. Played the piano in Angela's house to teach them on Wed and tho it was painful, it was worth it all. Also managed to record 13 songs on piano with 1-2 fingers playing the melody and left hand accompaniment on Thursday! I couldnt believe it was done and God has been really good to enable that.
Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength i find to meet my trials here.
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly it's part of pain and pleasure
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
Amen! Amen! Amen!
