Cotton Wool

Seen my rheumatology doc this morning. She is not happy with the white patch.....a.k.a. cotton wool in medical field. I used to play with cotton wool, especially in nursing days where we roll the cotton wool into small balls as swabs for use in the ward. My colleagues and I would challenge one another to see who made the best cotton wool balls.......haha, those were the days.

And so, now that i have a cotton wool in my right eye, what is going to happen?

Was sent to see the head of eye department just now. Waited 2 hours to see him and then another 1.25 hours to wait for eye to dilate (eyedrops were instilled into my eyes) and see him again. He told me to come back tomorrow to see his colleague who happens to be a retina specialist. Also had to go for lunch and came back at 2pm to have my eye photo taken in the imaging centre. Once again, i see the familiar cotton patch and this time, i even have it in CD for collection :)

My rheumatology doc thinks it may be due to the new drug i am taking or due to my disease itself but.... she is not sure. There are other causes too and she wants to get to the bottom of this. Meanwhile, i am told to stop the administration of the new drug which is due on Thursday (weekly dose). The eye doc thinks it may be a clot or embolism (air bubble) from somewhere and deposited in the eye. They used so many medical terms that sounded greek to me and honestly, the cotton need a diagnosis and i need treatment.

I cant really see clearly and please bear with me for typo errors. Will go rest my eye now. The effects of the drops will go away in another 2 hours.
