Here is a pic of this lady.... she is married to a singapore man (a taxi driver) and she speaks chinese to me!!!
Billy said Warunee made 3 mistakes today:
1) Asked him to sign out from FEBC (as in not taking lunch) and made him waited from 12.30pm to 1.30pm without food! He said she had caught the singaporean bug.... the "gan jiong" syndrome. As FEBC lunch is served at 12.30pm daily, he could have eaten and not starved. hahaha......guess she didnt realise the transport would be late.
2) She had to buy him lunch at Kopitiam in Terminal one and he requested for coffee. She paid quite a fair bit for American coffee, whose stall was situated at the other end from where they were seated. She could have gotten a cup of local fragrant coffee for $1.20 from the stall near to their table. She didnt notice and so she literally paid the price.....lol!
3) OOps... i forgot the 3rd one but they were laughing away about it. I did too... then :)
Back track to beginning, I reached airport much earlier and had my own lunch at Burger King in T2 (the one in T1 is closed for renovation). Tried the "all day Crossant wich" and mmmm... not as nice as the breakfast one. I still prefer that and oh boy... such soft bread plus ham and toppings!!! Must go and eat breakfast one day at BK!
Warunee called me after checking in (was supposed to let me know when she reached) and so i came over via sky train to join them at the Kopitiam. Was so so afraid i would meet that indian man (somehow had phobia taking sky train). Thank goodness he was nowhere to be seen.
Saw Billy yearning for a cup of local coffee and so i took the money left on the table and bought one cup for him while he hungrily ate his wanton mee. What happened to the Americana cup? I drank it. Yes.... not a coffee addict but hmmm....no harm trying a free cup and expensive one too!!! Didnt know what to add and so poured in the milk, mix half packet of sugar and then finally half packet of creamer coz i didnt like the taste. It could have been better if i had some ice!!! And so... this is how a "pang pang" cup of Angmoh coffee taste like. Nothing great lor!
When we got up to go to the departure gate, noticed Warunee had 4 bags with her!!!! One handbag, one laptop bag, one cabin-sized luggage plus one plastic bag of stuff. Told her she may not get across but she said she could only check in one luggage and that itself was overweight by 1kg. The malay lady at the checkin counter refused to let her pass thro and charged her $9 for that extra kg!!!! It was ridiculous coz the flight was not even half full!!! What is wrong with airasia staff??? So rigid and no compassion. It was just ONE KG!!!! She pleaded, her thai friend pleaded too but hey no....she needed to earn that $9 for her commission??? BLAH....I wasnt there.... could have given that lady an earful ;o/
Thank God at BKK side she was allowed to check in that overweight luggage without extra charge (just sms me for update). She is halfway thro her journey now and God bless her trip home. Pandan's team, Rev Quek & family plus Popeye and Billy will be making their way up on Sat for VBS and family camp. May God bless the team too as they minister and more unsaved ones to attend and hear the gospel.
So long.... dear friend. See you in June :o)
