Buzzzzz....

I am getting more and more forgetful.....Aging? Dementia? Absentmindness?

Whatever the reasons, it sure made people unhappy. Just yesterday Rachel was going out dinner with friends and i asked her where to. She told me Shenton Way and i nodded. 5 mins later i asked again the same question. It was only after that i realised the question sounded familiar and oopps...seemed like i didnt bother to hear her reply previously. Or was my this questioning a way to fill the table conversation??? i dont know. Wished i did pay attention in hearing and asking.

Nearly got into trouble today. Dr Lowly sms me at 2 plus giving instructions to call Mrs Pang and inform her two sons not to come to our house for website training in the night. I was busy with making calls to travel agents for air tickets to NTM and replying email, etc. Told myself will call when i finished. I never made that call.

Went out dinner with Dr Lowly and during the dinner received a call from Mrs Pang. When i saw the caller ID, i gasped with horror and thought oh dear.....the boys must be in my house or near my place. We were not done with our food yet....how???? Picked up the phone and it was En Yang. I didnt wait to hear what he had to say but whispered to Dr Lowly i forgot to do as he has told. He shook his head in unbelief...... And then i heard this sentence from the earpiece "...we couldnt make it tonight...." Huh? That sounded great! Perfect in fact! Whew......i thought we had to packet whatever that was cooked and rush back.

See what i mean? I upset my family whenever i forget and need to really buck up on that. Is it my left side of brain not talking to my right side or vice versa?

Once i forgotten something and i asked Eld Boon again. Then i gave the excuse of having Amnesia. He replied with a laugh saying it should be dementia. Oh dear... i couldnt even give a proper excuse....hahahaha.

Perhaps we choose the things we want to remember and seive out those we dont. One thing is for sure, God knows we are forgetful people and He keeps reminding us from His Word.

Isaiah 28:9-10 "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts. For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:"

How true it is.... precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little. We need to constantly embrace ourselves with the Word of God and soak in all that God wants to tell us. And after being reminded, act on it right away!

May God help us to be doers of His Word and not just hearers only.
