Took bus 173 opp Bukit Timah Plaza to head home. At the Toh Yi bus stop, scores of aunties & grannies came up the bus. They packed the whole bus! Seemed to be on an excursion or outing, perhaps to Clementi MRT Station and then to town.
Realised young and old behaved the same way when they are with friends. When a group of young students (girls) come up the bus, some will choose to sit in front, some at the back and there will be some who cannot decide where to sit and move from front to rear, right? Haha, these aunties are the same. So noisy and talkative too but they are very cute. I mean, you dont get to see such a huge elderly group taking public transport and going out together, do you?
Hmmm, i spotted two elderly men, perhaps the leader or what. Anyhow, it was the free-spiritedness (did i get this word correct?) of the aunties that captured my attention. They were like "never do this for a long time" and extremely delighted, enjoying one another's company. For once, they broke away from naughty active grandchildren and daily chores to make this journey together. I couldnt help but feel excited for them too :)
Alighted at Toh Tuck and could still hear their lively talking ringing in my ear. Oh boy, when was the last time i talked unprohibitedly in a public bus? Oops, almost 26 years ago!
